Creed Aventus mens cologne comes in a similar bottle to the entire masculine and unisex line. As always its a nice presentation that you have become familiar with. This is the newest addition to the Creed line and has had times of it being hard to acquire. The opening is a fruity mixture with a nice pineapple and apple. This isn’t a syrupy pineapple like you would get from opening up a can of pineapple. It’s more of a fine fresh pineapple smell. This is coupled with a fresh tart apple accord. It then begins the drydown where a nice patchouli comes out with a very hint note of rose. You then go to the base which is a nice dry moss and musk smell. There is a hint of sweet vanilla and ambergris in with the dry moss.
I have read that some have issues with longevity from Creed Aventus. Personally, I haven’t had these issues rather have suffered from olfactory fatigue. Even after I think it is long gone I will get compliments on the fragrance or questions about what it is. This proves it’s still there and projecting, just that you’re unable to tell. Projection with Aventus is moderate, and does it’s job well. This will get noticed, but it’s not going to fill a room. This makes it very versatile and can be worn in almost any occasion. This is a perfect work scent or even would be great on a date. The only place I wouldn’t wear this one is the club/bar. It’s just not loud enough to really get noticed and will likely get lost in the crowd. I think any age can pull this one off without an issue. I can see it working for someone in class to someone in the board room on the top floor.
Creed Aventus = TRY
As with any Creed fragrance I simply can’t suggest buying without trying them. The price is to high for a blind buy and just to much risk associated with it. I do think this is a very safe and versatile scent though and should be enjoyed by most.Another word of warning as there have been a lot of talk about the batches of Aventus. There are several popular cologne reviewers that have noticed rather large differences in the batches that are coming out of the Creed house, especially with Aventus. My suggestion, is if you’re going to buy try to get a sample of the batch before. That way you will know exactly what you’re getting with your purchase.
