The one, the only, Green Irish Tweed by Creed. This is most individuals first, and sometimes only, step into the niche fragrance community. With Creed you pay top dollar, and for that top dollar you get (in this case) an extremely well made and natural fragrance. The bottle is a normal Creed bottle which is a nice heavy design with a very nice sprayer. Now supposedly this is one that’s worn by the who’s who of the world. George Clooney to Prince Charles are supposed to use Green Irish Tweed as their signature scent. True? Who knows, but the fact that it sticks says something. This is something that you could envision these people wearing. The opening of this fragrance is a bright fresh lemon and green which is amazing. It then slowly begins to drydown to a masculine floral and then into woods. It keeps it’s green feel throughout and doesn’t get to sweet like many florals. The overall experience is very nice and well constructed throughout.

For me the longevity I’m getting 6-8 hours a day. Some folks get less, but it’s pretty stable for me. I’m very happy with that being Green Irish Tweed is a fresh fragrance. The projection is pretty loud for the first hour or two. Once the drydown begins it becomes closer to the skin. It however stays detectable if you’re in a close proximity. The nice thing about this fragrance is that it works in every situation and is probably one of the best signature scents you could have. If you’re 20 or 60 this will work for you. The complexity of the fragrance makes it work in a casual situation like the classroom or the office. Yet it still is dressy and comes off as classy if worn with a suit or worn on a date. Like I mentioned earlier with who’s supposed to wear this stuff everyday, to me Green Irish Tweed = James Bond. It comes off as masculine, clean, and suave.

One side note about the comparison between Cool Water and GIT. Are they similar? Yes, Cool Water was made to clone GIT. However, as much as they are similar they are different. Green Irish Tweed is much more in depth and complex. Cool Water is nice, but Green Irish Tweed is amazing. Is it worth the extra money? To me, yes. But really that’s something everyone has to decide for themselves.

Green Irish Tweed = Try

Due to the price, I just can’t recommend blind buying a fragrance like this. However I think everyone should at the least sample it. For me, if I had to pick just one cologne to live with forever, it would be this one. It just works so well in every situation, and it will work at any age in my life.
